Recently I've been placing orders on half.com to save some time and money on ordering books for the next semester, but it has turned out to be more hectic than I originally planned. Usually I order the books I want after reviewing the seller's feedback profile and the rest is good to go from there. This time, however, some of the orders I've placed have been cancelled because the seller has forgotten that the item was still listed and they already sold it, they don't have access to the book anymore, or they're lazy.

I hate to say it, but maybe shopping at the bookstore might be a bit more of a convenience than I originally thought.

I would shop at a used bookstore if I could, but most of the students return their books to our bookstore during "buy back" so it's unlikely I'd find the books I was looking for.

:P

The good sellers might not have their "back to school" inventory posted yet. Seriously, don't go to the DARK SIDE (i.e. the bookstore!) Do I need to give you my persuade from last year? ;-) I bought almost all my books for fall and saved between $60-75! And that's WITH shipping costs! And a woman in my office just bought a brand new book on ebay for $16 that costs $83 in the bookstore!!!!!

Yeah, I'm still going to shop online because I found one of my books for my english class for only 10 dollars when the bookstore is charging 40! It's just temporary agitation at having to shop around, that's all. :P

HAHA! :D I saw the VA for your persaude, but I never heard the speech.
