With only four weeks left to go in this semester it's hard to imagine that there is a plethora of things to do. Yet, there is still much on the horizon before the sun sets on this semester.
Next week starts out with a bit of bang! I'll be presenting a speech at the undergraduate conference with a "moving audience." Apparently the organizer of the conference wanted to try something different this year. It's interesting enough. Though, I don't know how I feel about people walking in an out of the "room" during my speech or any of the other performances that will be going on at that time.
As if my first research paper wasn't enough, I have another paper to start writing for South East Asian History (SEAH). Now, some of you are probably thinking that I already wrote that paper. Well, you'd be wrong. While my topic for Global Environmental History was on Globalization in Indonesia (aptly entitled "Globalization in Indonesia: From Monopolies to Markets"), I can't reuse any of it for my paper in SEAH. I suppose could, but if my professors found out I would be in trouble for plagiarism. Drats! Foiled again!!!
I also have a creative project to do for my Humanities class. At least this project will be fun. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to do, but I have some ideas.
Aside from classes, I'm still waiting for my GRE test materials to arrive. For future reference, Amazon's "Super Saver Shipping" is not a good option if you want your items sooner rather than later. It's a great option if you want your shipping free, though, so I guess I shouldn't complain. However, I will because two small items shouldn't take two long weeks to ship even if it is free. Nevermind, they arrived today!
I'm now looking at taking the GRE in either August or September, but I'm not entirely sure yet. After meeting with my communication professor yesterday I feel reassured by the fact that I could stay here and get a good assitantship if I wanted to. Still, part of me wants to go somewhere else that has both a masters and doctorates program should I decide to continue from one program to the next. Looks like I need to do more research and figure out what I want to do and where I will go from here. In other words, I need to make a few spreadsheets and get EVEN MORE organized.
I also need money, especially after last weekend. I spent way too much money hanging out with friends that I have had to revert back to the "Ramen Diet" because that's all I can afford. That and my homemade chicken tenders. I've got to get some protein in my diet, right? Perhaps, I should start selling more stuff on eBay? I have some old video games that I've beaten and don't play anymore. The question is, can I detach myself from them?
Indeed, there is still much to do and take care of this semester in addition to the aforementioned. I have other appointments to take care of and, no doubt, new items of business that will appear at random. I only hope that the end of this semester will be good because I've stressed about it too much for it to not turn out well. At least everything will be a little bit easier and more organized from here on out (Summer, Fall, and next Spring semesters included!). That way I won't stress out as much, and that's a good thing.
