Yes! I got a message back from one of my applications to set up an interview. Finally, some good news in the job search! So, I have an interview on Monday the 15th of August at 1 p.m. That's right, I'm writing it on here so I can remember. Haha! (It's also in my day runner and set as a reminder in my e-mail inbox.) Hopefully, when I go back, all will go well with the interview and I'll land the job. It's the one job that I know fits PERFECTLY into my schedule, pending, of course, my debate tournament schedule. Hopefully the tournament schedule won't be a big issue.

Again, thanks go out to Nancy the AMAZING who has helped me out immensely with the job search! I seriously can't thank you enough!

Job-process aside, I've been working on the speeches still. I was certain I would be done with this one speech by now, but apparently I don't know my history well. Or rather, the history I knew about the Kennedy, Nixon, and Carter administrations wasn't what I remember reading about in high school. As such, I've been back-tracking my information on their administrations in order to properly document their stances on various issues as they fit into my speech. It also doesn't help that one of my major sources is inaccessible. Damn them! How convenient a time too. Alas, I must press on.

Update: Housing still doesn't know where I'm living. That's great.

Hey, Thanks! :D I hope so too.

I go to Boise State University in Idaho where I am currently a Junior. We're known for our blue football field--the only colored one in the nation. Haha. Hey, gotta get recognized for something, huh?

Ah! That sucks about SC. I think they might have cut it into two seasons, so the first season may have already ended. It got high enough ratings, though. So, I'm sure they'll play the second season. It's such a kick ass anime.

Oh! I don't know if you're into manga or not, but my friend Veneliza sent me this link to one of the best manga I have ever read. It's called Deathnote. It's a story about a high school student in Japan who finds a book dropped by a God of Death. In which, if you write the name of someone they will die by a heart attack unless otherwise specified. The student who finds the book decides to rid the world of evil by killing criminals to create a utopia. However, when the police get suspicious because hundreds of criminals died around the same time from heart attacks, they send in "L" to solve the mystery behind "Kira" the person they believe to be behind the killings.

Here's the link, I'll also post it in your comments so you can check it out. It's free and you don't have to be a member! :)

ok...isn't BSU's housing pretty high? is getting a roomate and an off campus apartment not really an option?
that is one thing about Boise that blows my mind.... It really is a small city and yet it has SO MANY apartment complexes...
but then again (Totally talking out loud here) if you leave for summer or breaks it makes your own apartment seem like waste and an extra burden....
hmmm.
yeah. It's like 5 a.m. your time so i will make THAT my excuse as to why i am blubbering like an idiot! ha!
congrats on the job though. thats great news.... i would ask where, just to be girly and nosy but then i would just grow further home sick and that would lead to depression and other things negative, which is never good, SO this blubbering idiot simply bids you "congrats"!

Thanks Misty! I appreciate it.

Yeah, I don't know. I love Boise, but the housing there has gotten expensive there lately. I actually looked into living off-campus around the university in an apartment and the prices were considerably MUCH more, even with a roommate. Originally the plan was that my brother who graduated this summer and I were going to get an apartment or house, but upon researching we found it would be more expensive. So, this is the alternative. It's not great, but it's better then nothing. Indeed, BSU's housing is high, but comparably reasonable. I guess it's just a rip off either way unless you're living with more than two people...and that experience didn't go so well this last year. So, we'll see. I know my brother and I will be fine together.
