I finally organized most of my room today. Given the schedule of events I've gone through during the last five weeks, I haven't really had much time to organize much of anything in my life, let alone my room. After the tournament got over last weekend, though, a lot of my time freed up and I was able to start getting rid of the boxes that have sat in my room for the last two weeks. Now it actually looks like someone lives here, and it only took a month!

I won't go so far as to say that it feels like home (because if this were home I wouldn't be living with my brother), but I will say that it feels like a place of residence that I can live in agreeably. Haha!

well atleast it will strip away some of the chaos. they say (not sure who THEY are, but someone...) that we live in a mirror image of our environment. if it is chaotic, we feel chaotic, etc...
so good for you...

i had to laugh out loud at your sentence of living agreeably. that sums up my time here in the state of michigan...

That's very ture. When my room is clean I feel like things are going well and are in order, but when my room is dirty and cluttered I feel unorganized and chaotic. The funny thing is that it comes in waves, my room will be clean and then it will get dirty as things pick up and become stressful. Then those things will go away, leaving me to pick up the messes they made. Currently, my brother is really the only stressor that creates these messes. You would think that at the age of 23 he would be somewhat responsible, but no. He is, instead, very wasteful and irresponsible when it comes to taking care of anything related to a household chore. That's why our living room kind of looks like his second bedroom.

I'm taking it in stride though! If I could just get him to cut back on his energy use, we would almost be square.
