I got a callback late Friday afternoon from one of the places I applied to and they told me to come for an interview on Monday. This, of course, doesn't mean I will get the job (especially if I'm being interviewed by a certain previous employer), but it's a step in the right direction. So, yeah, maybe things will pick up.

One could only hope.

By the way, thanks to everyone for cheering me up through the comments and e-mails. I really appreciate it. I'm coasting along fairly well now. ;)

Said previous employer (during senior year of high school), for those of you who don't know my previous working experience, wouldn't negotiate my hours of work for my weekly schedule during my senior year when I needed time to do schoolwork. She had me working 35 hours a week, which would've been permissible had I not had Yearbook and Pre-Calculus. I tried to talk to her about the hours but she simply said she would not change them. Instead of agreeing with her and putting up with more time at that boring worthless job I told her I was putting my two weeks notice right then. She wasn't pleased at all, and neither was I. It's part of the reason why I dislike working with this employment agency. That and the fact that Burger King, under this agency, gyped me some money because of shitty managers. Needless to say, the job was the shortest amount of time that I've ever held a job.
